摘 要:
To introduce the solidification behavior and themechanism of anomalous eutectic formation in undercooled solidification of eutectic alloy. A morphological transition from regular lamellar to anomalous eutectic has been observed in many binary eutectic alloys in undercooled solidification, but the physical mechanism of the formation of anomalous eutecticmicrostructureis still controversially, such asdecomposition of a supersaturated solid solution, uncoupled or cooperative dendritic growth of two phases, and remelting of fine lamellar eutectic. Recently, Li [1] who proposed that a dual mechanism, including remelting of eutectic dendrites and single-phase dendrites, is responsible for anomalous eutectic formation in undercooled Ni–Sn eutectic alloys. In present, we choose the Pd-P eutectic alloys to investigate the solidifaiction behavior in undercooled solidification, and in particular for better understanding themechanism of anomalous eutectic formation.
